Last Updated: April 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to GridSparrow. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect information when you interact with our website and crowdsourced mapping services.

2. Data We Collect

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data strictly to provide the core functionality of GridSparrow. Project Owners receive access to the geolocation pins submitted by volunteers. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We use your email strictly for authentication, securing your projects, and sending mandatory project alerts.

4. Data Sharing and Crowdsourcing

GridSparrow is a crowdsourcing platform. If you submit a pin to a project as a volunteer, you acknowledge that your location pin, the time of submission, and any attached notes will be visible and exportable by the Owner of that project. We do not share your exact IP address or persistent tracking cookies with project owners.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

GridSparrow relies on local storage (e.g., IndexedDB) and essential cookies strictly to maintain authentication sessions via Firebase. We do not currently use invasive third-party tracking scripts for advertising purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated projects. At any time, you can contact the platform administrator to issue a data access or deletion request.

7. Contact

For any questions regarding this Privacy Policy or your data, please contact the administrators of GridSparrow.
